Fast forward to 1972, and a new chapter unfolded. Our grandfather, a man born and raised amidst the flourishing farms of Hekpoort, recognised a treasure in the valley’s bounty. He established the honey business, sourcing the finest, purest honey from local beekeepers, their hives buzzing with life amongst the diverse crops. This golden nectar became the heart of our business, alongside a commitment to supporting these local beekeepers and the time-honoured tradition of honey farming.

Generations succeeded each other, their love for the land and its gifts woven into the fabric of Hekpoort Honey Farms. The exceptional purity and quality of our honey resonated with our customers, a loyal base built over years of trust and shared appreciation for nature’s sweetness. Our honey, lovingly produced and expertly sourced, earned the cherished title of “HEKPOORT HONEY” – a name whispered with delight on countless lips. Finally, in 2008, the formal establishment of Hekpoort Honey Farms solidified our legacy. Our brand name became a household treasure, a symbol of pure, premium quality honey enjoyed across the nation.
